What exactly is a blood bond?  I have seen many questions concerning to what degree a kindred thinks, feels, and acts under such a powerful state.  This should clear up any confusion that may exist.

There are three types of blood bonds:
- one point
- two point
- three point

In order for this to occur, an individual must ingest a kindred's blood, be it a mortal or otherwise.  Only one point of blood bonding can occur during a one night period.

One Point Blood Bond:

This level of blood bond occurs just once after consuming the Regnant's blood.  The Regnant is the kindred which the individual is bonded to.  At this stage of blood bond the Thrall will begin to have strong, sporadic feelings for the Regnant.  The Thrall is the individual which is blood bonded.  The Thrall will wish to be near the Regnant much of the time.  They would want to discuss the Regnant's likes and dislikes, get to know their circle of friends, and other things along those lines.  The Thrall will begin having dreams of the Regnant as well.  Also, all childer have a one point blood bond to their Sire, due to the ingestion of the blood upon embrace.  A level one blood bond only lasts for a period of one month.

Two Point Blood Bond:

A level two blood bond occurs when ingestion a kindred's blood on two separate occasions.  At this point, the Thrall is easily convinced as to believe or do whatever the Regnant says.  The Regnant then becomes the center of the Thrall's life.  Unlike with a three point blood bond, at a two point the Thrall is able to keep their own personality, and still has self-preservation.  Though the Thrall subconsciously is there to aid the Regnant in any way and by any means possible.  A two point blood bond last for two months.

Three Point Blood Bond:

This point of blood bond occurs after consuming the blood of a kindred on three separate occasions.  After a three point blood bond occurs, the Regnant is absolutely everything in a Thrall's life.  The Regnant's every passing thought is the Thrall's desire.  Whatever the Regnant could possibly want would be in the Thrall's hands in second, if the Thrall is unable to do so, they will hunt until it is theirs.  The Thrall will do anything and everything told by the Regnant.  The Thrall will take on any personality that the Regnant desires and would even lay down their life to please the Regnant.  A individual may only be three point blood bonded to one Regnant, though a thrall may be one or two point blood bonded to several Regnants.  Also, a mortal can only become a ghoul after the three point blood bond is complete.  A three point blood bond lasts for six months after the last feeding.  After the six months is over, the bond is reduced into a two point blood bond.
